Posting Group 3

A T-score of 237 falls within our estimated AL12 comparison range.

Important: This is an estimated historical comparison, not an official MOE conversion. The former T-score system and current AL system use different scoring methods, so there is no exact one-to-one conversion.

How this converter works

The tool uses an approximate historical comparison table to help parents and former students understand how an old PSLE T-score might compare with today's AL scoring scale.

Why is it only an estimate?

The old PSLE T-score was calculated relative to the performance of the cohort. The current Achievement Level system uses scoring bands for each subject, with the four subject ALs added together for the final PSLE Score. Because the systems measure results differently, an exact conversion is not possible.

What happens below T-score 152?

Scores below 152 are displayed as AL26+. We intentionally do not assign exact T-score bands to AL26 through AL32 because there is not enough reliable information to justify that level of precision.

What do the Posting Groups mean?

The result also gives a broad current Posting Group reference. Posting Groups are part of today's secondary-school posting framework and should not be treated as a direct replacement for the former Express, Normal (Academic) and Normal (Technical) streams.

ExamDecoded provides this calculator for educational and historical comparison purposes. Always refer to the latest Ministry of Education information for official PSLE scoring and secondary-school posting rules.
