Eliminate with a reason
Do not cross out an option because it “looks wrong”. State the reason: it contradicts the passage, uses the wrong unit, fails a condition or contains a factual error. Evidence-based elimination reduces random switching.
Watch absolute and qualifying words
Words such as always, never, only, most, least and except can change the meaning of an option. They are not automatically wrong or right; they are signals to test the statement carefully.
Compare the final two options directly
When two choices remain, identify exactly how they differ. Then return to the question or source information and decide which difference is supported.
Do not let option position guide you
Patterns such as several consecutive B answers are not evidence that the next answer must be different. Judge each question independently.
Review changed answers rationally
Changing an answer is sensible when you find new evidence or notice an error. Changing it only because you feel uncomfortable is less useful. Be able to state why the new option is better.
